About Michelle Zhang

Grew up in Edison, NJ. I currently attend Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Ivins, Utah. I previously attended Cornell University, where I saw that medicine as a discipline stretched far beyond merely the natural sciences. At Cornell, I majored in Policy Analysis and Management to learn about the economics of health and healthcare. I was captivated by public health prevention struggles, patient information asymmetry in finding a physician and paying for services, and the government’s attempt at regulation by predicting the uncertainties of patient outcomes and financial costs.

My past healthcare related experiences include analyzing patient metabolomics to identify biomarkers for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, evaluating and improving a parenting workshop in NYC, looking at deal structures and analyst coverages of biopharma alliances, and conducting pharmaceutical sales analysis.
